EHCP & SEN ADVOCACY SERVICES

I offer clear, professional guidance through EHCP applications, reviews and appeals to ensure your child gets the support they are legally entitled to.

With many years of experience as both a teacher and a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), I bring a deep understanding of how to support children with additional needs.

I hold the NASENCO award from the University of Birmingham, I have completed the Ipsea SEND law training to level 3 and have spent the last few years working as an EHCP Coordinator within a Local Authority EHCP team.

This unique combination of school-based and local authority experience means I have an in-depth knowledge of the processes, procedures, and practicalities involved in securing the right support for children.

Whether you’re navigating the EHCP process or seeking guidance on your child’s special educational needs, I’m exceptionally well placed to help you with clarity, empathy, and expertise.

Support for Your Child at SEN Support Level

Children and young people can receive help in school or college at SEN Support level, before an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is in place. At this stage, schools are expected to follow the Assess–Plan–Do–Review cycle at least once per term. These records are an important part of demonstrating whether an EHCP may be required for your child.

With my extensive experience in both school settings and the Local Authority EHCP team, I can provide clear, practical advice to ensure that your child is receiving the provision expected at SEND support and that the support in school is adequate, appropriate, and accurately documented.

I can offer you support for feeling confident with meetings with your child’s school, I can virtually attend meetings to support you with difficult conversations or you can download useful templates and guidance from the “Downloads” page if you prefer to manage the process independently.
